Capitola Venetian Hotel

We stayed for 2 nights in Room 125 with our 3 month old. First trip with a baby! We loved the location, super quick walk to literally everything either with baby or when we went for an in-room snack. Rooms are "historic", floors squeaked, but updated nicely and so perfect for our getaway. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, had to replace some lights bulbs that went out. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

The place is pretty worn out, but the location is the best you'll find in the area! Love the close proximity to shops, restaurants, and the beach. In fact, you have direct beach access from this hotel. The shower is small and the parking lot can end up being over parked due to people letting in additional cars. The price is high, but you're paying for awesome location. I'd stay here again, but probably only 2 nights or less next time instead of 3.

My girlfriend and I have stayed here numerous times in the past several years, always at quaint but fairly modest rooms. For this trip however we stayed in Room 123. Absolutely beautiful: fireplace, unreal wraparound views, two balconies, full kitchen. Evelyn put in great effort to help resolve problems with the TV and get us settled in with other needs.

This hotel is just 5 minutes from downtown, and a few steps from the ocean and river. We loved room 131. 2 bedrooms (one is very small), and a bed in the living room. A full kitchen including stove, fridge, and microwave. Nothing fancy, but everything you need. It also has a nice balcony looking towards the ocean. The reason I only gave the room 4 stars is the full kitchen only has 4 cups, and 4 coffee mugs. NO plates, bowls, a pot or pan, NO silverware. A kitchen is pretty useless without a few dishes.

The rooms are pretty rustic, basic, and full of fun. Everything is setup for having a good time at the beach. Almost all of the views of water are a little limited so don’t be surprised.

Stayed in room 130 in April 2025 and it was wonderful. There was no smell that I read about in other posts and the space was out of this world. Two bedrooms, one with a full size bed, the other with a full size, but the main area was a bit strange, but it maximizes the Ocean View. In the living room you have your coach, desk and lamps, but what is great is you also have a full size bed and the coach pulls out for more sleeping room. The location is to die for, walking distance to about six types of food and fun shopping. You are close to a small market for groceries, an ice cream shop, Pizza, tacos, Thai Food and the iconic beach just steps away. Parking is tight, but a blessing. Believe me the $20 for parking here is a bargain, and you don't have to worry about your car. One thing about parking is that the spaces are tight, so be careful. Bring your own dishes, or just eat at the many restaurants.....that is easiest...you are on vacation after all. We will be back. Oh and the price is fair for what you get...this was not my everyday stay.

This is our first time staying here, we will definitely be back. The rooms are cute and cozy, felt like a home away from home and such a different experience from your usual corporate hotel. The Thank you Rebecca for such a warm welcome and great hospitality!
